3700 Trees by 2025

3700 Blossoms By 2025 is a beautification project whereby BOH with local partners will increase the number of pink blossoming trees (cherry, redbud and dogwood) from 3,000 to 3,700. This will match the number of white Sakura cherry trees surrounding Washington, D.C.'s Tidal Basin.

Blossoms is working with partners in Howard County to plant an additional 1,000 trees by the end of 2025. Companies, developers, and communities are committing to purchase between 50 and 100 pink blossoming trees over the next two years so we can reach 3,700. Already partnering with this exciting program is Turf Valley Resort, Security Development Corp. and the Howard Hughes Co.
